Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the vidgif website (vidgif.brsjsk.com), the vidgif web app and the vidgif desktop apps.

Your videos stay on your device

vidgif converts videos to GIFs locally, in your browser or in the desktop app. Your videos and the GIFs you create are not uploaded to our servers and we never receive them.

Information we store

The web app may store small settings and cached app files in your browser (local storage and a service worker cache) so it loads quickly and works offline. This data stays in your browser and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and requested pages in order to deliver and secure the site.

Analytics

The website pages (not the conversion itself) use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages viewed. It never sees your videos. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and cookies

This website may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using cookies for personalized advertising.

Downloads

Desktop apps are downloaded from GitHub, which has its own privacy statement.

Children

vidgif is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows the latest revision.
